ALESSANDRO CELLI
Board Member & Legal Advisor
Alessandro is partner and a member of the IT/C (TMT), IP and Disputes Practice Groups of Baker McKenzie. He leads the IT/C (TMT) team in the Zurich office.
Alessandro advises Swiss and international companies on the full range of IP and IT law within various industries, including computer law, media law and internet law. His practice includes data protection and data management law, namely in the life science and medical industry. Alessandro studied law at the University of Zurich
OLIVER ECKELMANN, PhD
Board Member
Oliver is a co-founder and CEO of a number of Biotech companies and serves as the CEO of discoveric ag.
Before commencing in the field of Biotech entrepreneurship, he joined the Pharmaceutical company Roche in the beginning of 2006 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in controlling and planning. In 2009 he was appointed as Roche’s VP/Global Head of Strategy, Planning and Special Projects in Basel, Switzerland. In September 2012 he took over the role as CFO and Deputy CEO for Roche in Australia. Oliver holds a PhD in economics.
FRANCIS VAN DER EYCKEN

A leader in the global diagnostics, pharmaceutical and laboratory industries, Francis is the CEO of Skope, AG (a Canon Medical Systems Corporation company) and president of MR, inc. He joined the Medical Templates board in spring 2022, bringing his broad experience in general management, innovation and strategic marketing. He holds a Master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
AARON BEREZ M.D.

Aaron is an international thought leader in interventional radiology, with a career in medicine, innovation and commercialization. He currently leads Alembic, LLC, a medical device company in Mountain View, CA, which develops novel medical devices. He is a board member of numerous medtech companies in the US and Canada. Aaron was VP of Clinical Affairs at Smart Therapeutics, Inc., before co-founding Chestnut Medical Technologies, Inc. where as CEO he led the development of innovative devices for Interventional Neuroradiology, including the Pipeline Embolization Device© (PED), which was acquired by eV3 Inc. in June 2009. Aaron completed post-graduate training at Stanford University in Radiology and Neuroradiology.
JOHN FRÖHLICH M.D.

John is an expert in GMP manufacturing with a focus on translation to personalized medicine and imaging close to clinical implication – born in Gießen Germany with education in the USA, Italy and Switzerland. With a tutorship at ETH Zürich in the field of small scale manufacturing and due to his broad research interest, he adds to our expertise.
